Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
The purpose of this position is to support the integration of Eaton automated mechanical transmissions with OEM vehicle chassis and electronic diesel engines by assisting in basic integration activities, tests, and documentation.
The role also supports the understanding of customer requirements and helps the engineering team in product development activities to meet these requirements.
Responsabilidades do cargo
A. Support activities with engine, electric motor, and vehicle OEMs by assisting in system testing and basic validation tasks related to Eaton Automated Transmissions, following defined procedures and guidance.
B. Assist in the communication of basic transmission interface information to engine manufacturers and vehicle OEMs, supporting integration activities under supervision.
C. Support the use and organization of performance guidelines, documents, and specifications for vehicle OEMs, engine OEMs, and internal transmission teams.
D. Assist senior engineers by gathering data and supporting documentation related to transmission compatibility with engine or vehicle applications.
E. Support investigation activities related to engine or vehicle AMT integration issues, including data collection and basic analysis, under guidance.
F. Support interactions with end customers or field service teams by helping to collect information, track issues, and follow up on powertrain performance concerns.
G. Assist with the application and clarification of guidelines and specifications for engine OEMs, truck OEMs, and transmission product teams.
H. Use basic engineering tools and development processes (such as DFMEA or design guidelines) as instructed, supporting product development and launch activities.
I. Assist in reviewing customer technical requirements and standards and help communicate information to internal teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
J. Support Eaton system development activities, including learning activities related to new actuators, electronic components, and system functions.
Formação
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (Graduated only. Technician degree is an advantage)
- Experience in automotive product engineering
- Minimum intermediate English level (ability to interact independently with clients in English on a daily basis)
Desired Technical Knowledge
- A. Six Sigma tools knowledge for product development
- B. Expertise in Matlab/Simulink and knowledge of CAN communication tools (CANalyzer, CANape, SAE J1939)
- C. Knowledge of new product development processes and tools (DFMEA, DVP, DAP, Change Management, Concurrent Engineering, Design for Assembly)
- D. Demonstrated strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- E. Awareness of ISO 26262, ASPICE and IATF standards
- F. Digital mindset, exploring new ways to solve problems using available technologies
- G. Experience/knowledge with requirement management software JAZZ
- H. Experience with agile methodologies (Jira and Confluence)
