Full Stack Architect (Manager) – Digital Engineering
As part of our GDS Consulting team, you will be part of GDS Technology Consulting team delivering to clients across regions. The client base spans across various sectors and includes collaboration with other teams within Consulting services.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.
Role Summary
- We are seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Architect with over 10+ years of experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale digital engineering solutions.
- This role combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with architectural leadership, driving innovation across modern technology stacks while enabling business outcomes for global clients.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening technical capabilities in Sri Lanka, working closely with global teams and leading high-performing engineering squads.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering / digital engineering
- Proven experience in architecting large-scale enterprise solutions
- Strong track record in leading distributed teams and global engagements
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Java, Spring Boot (Microservices architecture)
- React / Angular
- REST APIs, integration patterns, and API design
- AI based engineering solutions and tech accelerators
- Extensive experience with:
- Azure Cloud
- Design patterns and architecture frameworks
- CI/CD, DevOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of:
- Scalability, performance optimization, and security best practices
- Distributed systems and cloud-native application design
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable full-stack solutions (Java, Spring Boot, React/Angular, Azure)
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and guide development teams
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices
- Lead cloud-native and microservices architecture on Azure
- Drive capability building and mentor teams
- Engage with clients, present solutions, and influence technical decisions
