The Role:
- Solve complex cybersecurity problems and help customers on their cybersecurity and risk journey.
- Analyse and assess the security postures of clients and provide guidance on improvement.
- Study and outline potential attack vectors and breaches to advise clients on how to mitigate against them.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements and build client relationships to develop an understanding of the right fit of consulting offerings to help our clients take their next step.
- Lead customer workshops to capture business and cybersecurity requirements that are used to deliver maturity assessments, roadmaps and strategies.
- Communicate technical and non-technical solutions and their business benefits to diverse stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain consulting market offerings.
- Promote consulting market offerings and generate client discussions, leads and opportunities to achieve consulting objectives.
- Develop proposals, assist with tender responses and provide support to Account Managers and Business Development Managers.
- Provide quality control and management oversight for all consulting engagements.
- Manage budget and forecasted effort for client engagements.
- Assist in maintaining team utilisation rates, resource planning, and proactive engagement management to achieve consulting targets.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the consulting team that uplifts the quality of deliverables and provides proactive, constructive feedback on areas of development.
- Develop and provide thought leadership in primary area(s) of expertise and look for opportunities to broaden knowledge into other supporting areas through training, coaching/mentoring, and personal research.
Key Competencies and Qualifications Required:
- 10 - 15 years' proven cyber consulting experience.
- Good commercial acumen and awareness.
- Experience in a consultancy or service delivery environment.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering effective presentations
- Security certifications such as but not limited to SABSA, CISSP, CISM.
- Extensive knowledge of information security standards such as but not limited to, ISO27001, Essential Eight, NIST, Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework.
- Ability to implement and audit security and risk standards.
- Ability to use security frameworks and methodologies including OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) OSSTMM (Open-Source Security Testing Methodology Manual), and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Extensive experience of the broader technology ecosystem, common approaches to managing technology, modern technology concepts and expertise in at least one focused area of practice.
- End-to-end engagement lifecycle management experience, from pe-sales and account management activities to billing.
- Strong experience in successfully leading consulting engagements that have produced positive and tangible business outcomes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision.
- Ability to develop, lead and facilitate stakeholder workshops to identify problems and develop solutions using contemporary approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and build confidence at every level of an organisation.
- A strong client focus and a strength in taking ownership to proactively monitor customer satisfaction while negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytic, and system thinking skills.
- High level of organisation and time management to enable you to prioritise effectively and to successfully deliver multiple client engagements concurrently.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively, while still being a strong team contributor.
- Methodical approach to analysis and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail with the ability to discern checkbox compliance from security control intent and efficacy.
