POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales & Account Manager is responsible for supporting sales growth, managing agency relationships, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Puerto Rico market. This hybrid role combines sales support, account management, and sales operations functions to help drive new business, retain existing clients, and provide exceptional service to agents and brokers.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with internal departments to support business objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Support the growth and retention of the business portfolio.

Build and maintain positive relationships with agents, brokers, and business partners.

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned agencies, providing ongoing support and guidance.

Conduct regular follow-ups with agents regarding new business opportunities, renewals, and pending cases.

Assist with agency onboarding, contract registration, portal access, and training.

Participate in agency meetings, presentations, and industry events as needed.
Support sales initiatives and help identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
SALES OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Receive, review, and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and determine any additional information required.

Monitor proposal progress and ensure timely responses.

Format and finalize proposals according to company standards.

Facilitate quoting opportunities through underwriting portals and internal systems.

Assist with underwriting forms and supporting documentation.

Collaborate with implementation teams to facilitate paperwork for sold cases and renewals.

Generate reports to monitor sales activity, annual goals, and monthly progress.

Maintain accurate records within CRM systems, including HubSpot.
ADMINISTRATIVE & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

Process collateral material requests and coordinate shipments.

Assist with commission inquiries and review commission reports.

Monitor pipeline and renewal reports and provide follow-up support.

Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Underwriting, and Customer Service teams to improve service and processes.

Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and workflow.

Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

1–3 years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, healthcare, insurance, or a related field preferred.

Experience in health insurance, travel insurance, or life insurance is a plus.

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

CRM experience preferred; HubSpot experience is a plus.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken). Portuguese is a plus.

Willingness to travel within Puerto Rico as needed.
