We are looking for a Project PCO (Project Control Officer) who will report to the PCO Team Leader in I&T PMO’s Delivery Management Team. The Project PCO contributes to the PMO’s mission by acting as a trusted partner and advisor to the Project Managers and the PMO. The role ensures the reliability, consistency, and analysis of project performance data in order to provide a clear and objective visibility into performance, variances, and risks.
Through their control and advisory role, the Project PCO supports decision-making, adherence to commitments, and the application of the PMO standards, without being responsible for project delivery.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Act as a delivery steering partner: Support the Project Manager in planning, updating, and analyzing project plans (schedule,cost,risks) to inform decision-making, without taking on delivery accountability.
Ensure control and consistency of project data: Validate the quality, consistency, and reliability of project information (progress, budgets, forecasts) before consolidation and reporting to the Investment & Workforce team.
Provide an objective assessment of project performance and health: Analyze variances, key performance indicators, and early warning signals, and provide an independent evaluation of the project health (schedule, cost, risks, issues).
Play an advisory and escalation role: Identify risks, variances, and potential deviations; proactively raise alerts and recommend corrective actions to the Project Managers and other stakeholders (Delivery Manager, Portfolio Manager, etc.)
Bridge projects and the PMO: Ensure compliance with PMO standards, tools, and methodologies; contribute to reporting and governance, and facilitate effective communication between project teams and the PMO, collaborating with PMO – Investment & Workforce (budget, capacity, feasibility), PMO – Portfolio Management (portfolio oversight), PMO – Performance & Practices (standards, continuous improvement), Project Managers (delivery steering and decision support), Business stakeholders & sponsors (value, priorities, expectations)
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in project management
Experience: 8+ years in project management (manufacturing knowledge a plus)
Technical skills: PM methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid), lifecycle management, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, risk & change management, data governance
Performance analysis and control: Ability to analyze project data and identify variances and early warning signals.
Project control expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end project management processes and tracking indicators (health indicators / Red Amber Green status).
Advisory and influencing skills: Ability to challenge and advise Project Managers without direct authority.
Communication and synthesis: Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Rigor and PMO governance: Commitment to PMO standards, processes, and traceability, supported by strong documentation practices.
Languages: Advanced English proficiency required due to collaboration with stakeholders and people around the world.
