Position Overview
The Head of Legal AI & Analytics will lead the transformation of our legal and compliance function through the design and deployment of AI-driven solutions. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to modernize workflows, enhance risk monitoring, and enable data-driven decision-making. This position has a direct impact on operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and the achievement of compliance and business MBOs.
What you'll do
- Define and execute the AI and data strategy for Legal & Compliance, identifying high-impact use cases
- Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions (risk detection, contract analysis, automation, monitoring)
- Architect and integrate scalable data infrastructure across multiple systems and data sources
- Lead adoption of generative AI (LLMs, RAG) to improve legal workflows and compliance processes
- Develop dashboards and analytics to provide real-time insights into risk and program performance
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Data, and IT teams to align priorities
- Drive change management, training, and adoption of AI tools across the organization
- Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in AI/ML, data engineering, or analytics roles
- Proven track record of deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments
- Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, dbt)
- Exposure to legal, compliance, risk, or regulated environments (e.g., GDPR, FCPA, SOX)
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong execution and problem-solving abilities
- Experience driving change and adoption of new technologies across teams
- Self-starter with ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
