As a senior full stack engineer-Remote in this backend-leaning role, you will own core product features end-to-end while building the foundational infrastructure for a production fintech platform. We require strong fundamentals in containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and a bias toward shipping high-quality, well-tested software that solves real customer needs. You will collaborate directly with technical leadership to translate product requirements into robust architectural solutions, ensuring high standards for reliability and scalability as the platform evolves. This role demands a clear communicator with a strong ownership mentality who is comfortable debugging production systems and contributing to the long-term technical direction of a growing fintech infrastructure layer.
Responsibilities
You’ll own core product features end-to-end and help build the foundational infrastructure that powers real customer workflows in a production fintech platform.
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features that power core customer workflows across the platform
- Own features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through production deployment and iteration
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that integrate with third-party systems and payment infrastructure
- Build user-facing interfaces and internal tools that improve customer workflows and operational efficiency
- Collaborate closely with product and leadership to translate real customer needs into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform evolves and scales
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure
- Ensure high standards for code quality, testing, reliability, and documentation
- Participate in debugging, performance tuning, and production support when needed
Qualifications
We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who can own features end-to-end and help build a production fintech platform in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
Core engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience building production web applications in a full-stack or backend-leaning role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as Django.
- Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Strong fundamentals with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and working with third-party integrations.
Infrastructure & production systems
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating services in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Familiarity with containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions).
- Experience debugging production issues and improving performance, reliability, and scalability over time.
- Startup mindset & collaboration
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with real production customers.
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to take projects from idea to production.
