Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security L3 Engineer to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network security solutions. The role involves handling complex incidents, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring high availability and security of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Incident Management & Support Provide L3 support for network security incidents and act as SME for escalations Lead major incident calls (P1/P2) and ensure timely resolution Troubleshoot complex issues across firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and security platforms Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures [Network Security L3 | Word] 2. Skill Requirements
Network Security Firewall technologies: Cisco ASA/FTD (Firepower Management Center), Palo Alto VPN: IPSEC, SSL VPN (GlobalProtect or equivalent) Proxy/Web security: Zscaler, Cisco WSA, URL filtering Core Networking Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF Switching: VLANs, STP, EtherChannel Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI layers Security Tools & Platforms Cisco ISE / AAA solutions Load balancers: F5 LTM/APM (preferred) [Network Security L3 | Word] IDS/IPS / WAF (preferred) Additional (Good to Have) SD-WAN Cloud security (Azure / AWS) DNS security / Zero-trust solutions Experience & Qualifications 8+ years of experience in network/security engineering in large enterprise environments [Network Security L3 | Word] Experience in global delivery / 24x7 support model [Network Security L3 | Word] Strong experience in troubleshooting and live incident handling Certifications preferred: Cisco CCNP / CCIE Palo Alto / Checkpoint certifications Key Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to handle high-pressure incident scenarios Effective communication and stakeholder management Ownership mindset with L3-level decision-making ability Working Model 24x7 support environment / rotation shift Global delivery (Follow-the-sun model)
