We are looking for an experienced AI GCP Cloud Engineer to support enterprise cloud infrastructure and AI enablement initiatives. This person will be responsible for designing, provisioning, automating, and supporting secure, production-ready environments within Google Cloud Platform.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with GCP, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, IAM, cloud networking, CI/CD, and cloud operations. This role will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Security, DevOps, Data Engineering, AI Engineering, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure following enterprise standards.
- Create and configure new GCP projects, including billing, APIs, labels, governance controls, and service enablement.
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules, scripts, and deployment patterns.
- Configure and manage IAM roles, service accounts, permissions, and least-privilege access models.
- Support access requests for BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and other GCP services.
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud networking components, including VPCs, firewall rules, routing, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, private connectivity, and load balancers.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integrations for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and observability practices using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, access, connectivity, and performance issues in production environments.
- Support cloud cost reporting, tagging, labeling, FinOps practices, and optimization initiatives.
- Participate in technical design reviews, change management processes, production readiness validations, incident discussions, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Create technical documentation, implementation notes, operational handoff materials, and reusable standards for internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Strong experience provisioning and managing infrastructure through IaC practices.
- Advanced knowledge of GCP services and enterprise cloud environments.
- Strong experience with IAM, service accounts, role-based access controls, and least-privilege security principles.
- Experience with GCP networking, including VPCs, firewall rules, DNS, routing, SSL/TLS certificates, and load balancing.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments and enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience working within enterprise governance, security, compliance, and change management processes.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Vertex AI and AI platform enablement.
- Experience managing or supporting BigQuery access and permissions.
- Experience with Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and GCP Load Balancing.
- Experience with Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, tagging, and cost reporting.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience supporting data-intensive, AI/ML, or application platform workloads.
- Knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.
- Hybrid cloud experience with AWS and GCP.
Preferred Certifications
- Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
