We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with solid backend expertise in Java (primary language).
This role requires a professional with a strong focus on test automation, prioritizing Selenium as the main tool, followed by Java, Playwright, and API testing.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of modern web applications, contributing both to development and test automation strategies in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, prioritizing Selenium
Develop and execute automated tests across UI, backend, and APIs using Java, Playwright, and API testing tools
Contribute to the development of full stack applications using React, Angular, and Java-based backend technologies
Build and validate RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Ensure application quality, performance, security, and scalability
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define quality standards
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Perform code reviews and enforce best practices in both development and testing
Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects across the stack
Mentor team members and drive quality engineering best practices
Required Qualifications and Experience
8–10+ years of experience in software development and/or test automation
Strong expertise in Java (primary skill)
Proven hands-on experience with Selenium (mandatory and highest priority)
Experience with Playwright and API testing
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and strategies
Solid experience with React and Angular
Experience with API-driven and microservices-based architectures
Strong understanding of software testing concepts (functional, regression, integration, performance)
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD integration
Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with test automation framework design and scaling
Familiarity with performance and security testing
Understanding of DevOps and shift-left testing practices
