What are your main tasks?
The Product Management Rail role is responsible for managing and developing Rail-related products and solutions across their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business strategy, customer needs, and market requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Own and manage Rail product portfolio throughout the full product lifecycle (concept, development, launch, improvement, phase-out)
Define product requirements in close collaboration with customers, sales, engineering, and other internal stakeholders
Translate market and customer needs into clear product specifications and roadmaps
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
Support pricing, positioning, and go-to-market activities for Rail products
Monitor product performance, KPIs, and market trends, and initiate improvements where needed
Ensure product documentation, standards, and compliance requirements are fulfilled
Act as the main interface between customers and internal functions regarding Rail product topics
Initiate and steer product-related projects, including scope definition, resource planning, budgeting, and timeline management
Monitor project progress, risks, and performance, ensuring proper reporting and corrective actions
Support internal and external stakeholders through product training and technical guidance
Ensure strong horizontal and vertical alignment within the organization
What are your qualifications?
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or a similar role (preferably in Rail, Automotive, or industrial environments)
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and cross-functional processes
Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
Customer- and market-oriented mindset
Experience working in an international and cross-cultural environment
Very good English skills (written and spoken)
German language skills are an advantage
