Position: Software Architect
Location: Belo Horizonte, Brazil
As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software architectures by defining requirements, specifying solutions, and selecting development technologies and tools. You will serve as a technical reference for the team, promoting scalable, adaptive, and evolutionary architectures.
This position is part of the Solutions (SolCo) business within the Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) division. SolCo is one of the two independent entities being created from ANH as part of its divestment to CVC Capital.
Key Responsibilities

Support the design of software solutions by defining their quality attributes.

Identify business objectives, guidelines, constraints, and requirements that will drive architectural decisions.

Identify, analyze, and prioritize architectural drivers and requirements.
-
Define the most appropriate architectural style and technology platform.
-
Model, document, and communicate key architectural decisions.
-
Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks.
-
Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate technical solutions.
-
Implement and evolve executable architectures, establishing the technical foundation of applications.

Act as a technical reference, supporting and mentoring development teams on architectural decisions and development best practices.

Support the definition and evolution of integration and communication processes between systems.

Contribute to the definition and implementation of security practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and data transport security.

Promote software development, best practices and architectural standards.
-
Foster technical capability building and the continuous development of team members.

Serve as a technical authority for the team and the organization on software architecture and software development topics.
You Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced English proficiency.
-
Experience developing applications using React, React Native, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
-
Knowledge of architectural patterns such as Layered Architecture, Client-Server, Master-Slave, Pipe and Filter, Broker, Peer-to-Peer, MVC, Microservices, SOA, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles, including Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and Design Patterns.

Experience with distributed systems and system integration through REST APIs, SOAP services, and messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, and Google Pub/Sub.

Advanced knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
-
Knowledge of cloud service models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
-
Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
-
Knowledge of software and infrastructure security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and protocols such as JWT and OAuth.
-
Experience optimizing application performance through caching strategies, load balancing, and monitoring practices.

Experience defining, modeling, and documenting software architectures.
-
Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
-
Knowledge of configuration management and source code versioning using Git and Git Flow.

Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and SonarQube.

Understanding of Software Engineering disciplines, including requirements gathering, software testing, and project management.

Experience with AI-Assisted Software Development, leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools to support code generation, testing, documentation, refactoring, and productivity improvements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
