Job Description
Position: Foreign Trade Analyst
Job Objective
Plan, execute, and monitor import and export operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, logistical efficiency, cost control, and adherence to established deadlines, contributing to the company’s competitiveness in the international market.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

Plan and coordinate import and export processes for goods.

Monitor all stages of international operations, from negotiation to final cargo delivery.

Track logistics deadlines and ensure compliance with operational schedules.
Documentation and Compliance

Prepare, review, and manage foreign trade documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, and bills of lading.

Ensure compliance with customs, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
-
Register and monitor operations in the Siscomex system.
Classification and Regulations
-
Perform tariff classification of goods (NCM).
-
Verify administrative requirements and regulations from government agencies.
-
Monitor updates in foreign trade legislation.
International Logistics Management
-
Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarders and carriers.
-
Request and analyze international freight quotations.
-
Define transportation modes and monitor cargo transit.
Cost Analysis

Prepare import and export cost spreadsheets.
-
Analyze taxes, logistics fees, and operational expenses.

Support export pricing strategies.
Partner Relations

Interact with international suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and financial institutions.

Negotiate logistics and commercial terms.
Control and Reporting

Prepare management reports on international operations.

Monitor logistics and financial performance indicators.

Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

Foreign Trade

International Relations
-
Business Administration
-
Logistics
-
Economics or related fields.
Experience
-
Previous experience in import and/or export operations.

Experience with international logistics and customs processes.
Technical Knowledge

Customs and tax regulations.

Incoterms and international contracts.

International logistics and multimodal transportation.

Tariff classification of goods (NCM).
-
Foreign exchange operations and international payments.
-
Foreign trade systems such as Siscomex.

Microsoft Office or data analysis tools.
Languages

Advanced English.

Spanish (a plus).
