Technical Business Analyst (Capital Markets / FIX Protocol)
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Capital Markets and electronic trading environments to support strategic initiatives related to FIX Gateway solutions, client onboarding, trading connectivity, and order flow management.
This role requires a professional who combines deep business analysis expertise with hands-on technical knowledge of trading systems, FIX Protocol messaging, and Capital Markets infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, operations, and external clients to deliver scalable and reliable trading solutions across fast-paced financial environments.
The ideal candidate has proven experience supporting FIX onboarding and certification processes directly, including hands-on troubleshooting, FIX session analysis, message validation, and testing activities within trading ecosystems — especially in Fixed Income or broader Capital Markets environments.
-
Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external clients to gather, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements for trading applications and FIX connectivity solutions.
- Support end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, including requirements analysis, functional specification documentation, testing coordination, implementation support, and post-production validation.
- Work directly with FIX Gateway platforms, inbound order flow systems, and associated risk-checking components within electronic trading environments.
- Perform hands-on FIX Protocol analysis, including troubleshooting FIX sessions, validating message flows, analyzing connectivity issues, and supporting certification activities.
- Manage and support client onboarding processes, ensuring successful connectivity setup, certification execution, and production readiness.
- Analyze trading workflows, order lifecycle processes, and Capital Markets operational flows to identify optimization opportunities and process improvements.
- Create detailed functional and non-functional requirements, including business rules, exception handling, service mapping, and technical integration specifications.
- Execute integrated system testing, UAT support, and production validation activities to ensure solutions meet business and technical expectations.
- Develop and maintain test cases, process flows, functional solution documents (FSDs), and implementation documentation.
- Work closely with developers, QA teams, vendors, and operations teams to ensure accurate understanding and delivery of business requirements.
- Perform SQL query analysis and UNIX log analysis to support troubleshooting, data validation, and trading application investigations.
- Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and communicate business requirements effectively to technical teams.
- Provide updates to management regarding project status, risks, remediation plans, testing progress, and change requests.
- Support multiple concurrent projects and workstreams within highly dynamic and fast-paced trading environments.
- Collaborate with UX and Design teams when applicable to help visualize workflows and solution prototypes.
- Participate in occasional off-hours support, weekend implementations, or on-call activities when required by trading operations.
-

This role requires hands-on experience with FIX onboarding, certification, and trading connectivity activities. Candidates who only coordinated vendors or managed communication without directly performing FIX-related technical analysis, troubleshooting, or certification activities may not be the ideal fit for this opportunity.
Strong experience within trading environments, FIX Protocol expertise, SQL analysis, and UNIX log investigation are critical for success in this role.
