About the Role
Do you love Manaus and enjoy sharing its culture, history, and unique atmosphere with visitors from around the world?
Guydeez is looking for enthusiastic locals to lead private, personalized walking experiences for small groups of international travelers. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people, sharing local stories, and creating memorable experiences.
No professional tour guide license is required. We value local knowledge, strong communication skills, and a passion for showcasing Manaus.
What You'll Do
- Lead private walking experiences through Manaus's neighborhoods, landmarks, and cultural sites (3–8 hours)
- Share insights about local history, traditions, culture, and daily life
- Adapt each experience according to guests' interests and preferences
- Recommend local attractions, restaurants, markets, and cultural activities
- Create a welcoming, engaging, and memorable experience for visitors
- Optionally host food-focused experiences for guests interested in local gastronomy
Who We're Looking For
- Based in Manaus or very familiar with the city
- Strong knowledge of Manaus's history, culture, and attractions
- Fluent in at least one of the following languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, or Dutch
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable interacting with international visitors
- Comfortable leading experiences lasting 3–8 hours
- Passion for culture, food, and storytelling is a plus
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, customer service, or guiding is helpful but not required
