About the Role
We are seeking a Carrier Procurement Specialist to support U.S.-based freight operations. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with trucking carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
You will work closely with the operations and sales teams to secure capacity, negotiate rates, and maintain strong partnerships with carriers across the United States.
This is a great opportunity for logistics professionals in LATAM who have experience with U.S. freight, carrier sales, dispatch, or truck brokerage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and onboard qualified trucking carriers (FTL, LTL, Flatbed, Reefer, Drayage).
- Negotiate competitive freight rates while maintaining service quality.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with carriers.
- Secure capacity to cover customer freight in a timely manner.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve service issues.
- Monitor carrier performance (on-time delivery, claims, service compliance).
- Maintain accurate records in TMS and CRM systems.
- Ensure carriers meet compliance requirements (insurance, safety ratings, contracts).
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to cover freight loads.
- Identify and develop new carrier networks to expand capacity and improve margins.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in logistics, carrier sales, carrier procurement, dispatch, or freight brokerage.
- Experience working with U.S. freight markets preferred.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Experience with TMS platforms and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
- Ability to manage high-volume load coverage.
- Strong negotiation, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on service reliability and margin improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with U.S. trucking carriers or brokerages.
- Knowledge of flatbed, reefer, drayage, or specialized freight.
- Experience with carrier compliance and vetting processes.
- Ability to analyze freight rates and carrier performance.
