Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Technical Reference – Java Spring Boot Expert to lead the backend architecture and technical direction of a new application platform.
This role is designed for a highly experienced backend specialist who will act as the technical authority for Spring Boot engineering, driving architectural decisions, defining best practices, and ensuring technical excellence across the platform.
You will own the design and implementation of enterprise grade backend services, serving as the core integration layer between a modern Angular frontend and existing enterprise systems. Beyond hands-on development, you will be expected to provide technical leadership, establish architectural standards, and mentor engineering teams on backend design patterns and scalability strategies.

- Act as the technical reference and subject matter expert for Java (JAVA 17)and Spring Boot architecture
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high performance RESTful APIs using Spring Boot
- Define backend architecture standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices
- Lead technical decisions related to API orchestration, request validation, routing, resiliency, and security
- Architect and implement the backend integration layer connecting Angular based UI with enterprise backend services
- Design robust audit logging, observability, monitoring, and tracing capabilities
- Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability for enterprise grade workloads
- Drive system integration strategies with Oracle based data environments
- Conduct architectural reviews and proactively identify improvement opportunities
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on Spring Boot patterns and backend engineering excellence
- Partner closely with frontend, platform, and backend teams to ensure seamless end to end integration
- Take full ownership of backend deliverables and architectural outcomes
8+ years of backend engineering experience, with deep specialization in Java ecosystems
Expert level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including advanced framework internals and architectural patterns
Proven experience serving as a technical reference, lead engineer, or backend architect for enterprise platforms
Strong expertise designing and scaling enterprise grade distributed APIs and microservices
Deep understanding of:
• Spring Boot ecosystem • Microservices architecture • API security and authentication patterns • Distributed systems design • Integration architecture • Resiliency and fault tolerance patterns
Strong hands-on experience with:
• API design standards and governance • Backend orchestration layers • Validation frameworks • Monitoring and observability tooling • Oracle database integrations
Demonstrated ability to independently drive technical solutions end to end
Strong architectural judgment with a proactive approach to technical optimization
Advanced English communication skills
- Experience with Angular integration and frontend/backend contract design
- Background in financial services, enterprise transaction systems, or billing platforms
- Experience building greenfield enterprise applications from scratch
- Previous experience mentoring engineering teams or defining technical standards
