We are a global automotive supplier with strong capabilities in manufacturing, engineering, and product development, serving major OEMs and Tier 1 customers worldwide. To support our growth in South America, we are seeking an experienced sales and marketing professional to expand our regional business and strengthen customer relationships.
Position Summary
The Regional Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies across South America. This role focuses on customer acquisition, account management, market analysis, and business growth within the automotive sector, including passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, distributors, and key automotive customers
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, RFQ/RFP response, pricing, negotiation, and contract closing
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term partnerships
Market & Marketing Activities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in South America
- Support product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and local marketing initiatives
- Coordinate participation in industry exhibitions, trade shows, and customer technical reviews
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to support product and strategy improvement
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Act as the primary interface between customers and internal teams (engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations)
- Support project launches, SOP milestones, and customer audits when required
- Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled
Reporting & Strategy
- Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and regular management updates
- Support regional and global management with strategic planning and decision-making
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or equivalent is a plus
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the automotive industry
- Proven experience working with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers
- Strong understanding of automotive products, supply chains, and commercial practices
Skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a regional role with limited supervision
- Strategic mindset with strong execution capability
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Language
- Fluent English is required
- Portuguese and/or Spanish is highly preferred
