Role Overview
The NOC Intern will support the Network Operations Center team in monitoring and maintaining EdgeUno’s network infrastructure across Latin America. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for students who want to build hands-on experience in network operations, working closely with experienced engineers in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
The intern will assist in monitoring activities, basic troubleshooting, and incident handling, contributing to network stability and learning operational best practices in real-world scenarios.
Core Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring network infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix, LibreNMS, Grafana, or similar- Support the identification of network events such as latency, packet loss, and service degradation
- Help perform initial troubleshooting under supervision across Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments
- Assist in opening, updating, and tracking incident tickets following internal procedures
- Support communication with internal teams during incidents and service requests
- Document incidents, actions taken, and updates in internal systems
- Help maintain basic network documentation and runbooks
- Participate in network maintenance activities and learning sessions with the engineering team
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the NOC environment
- Work on-site in a shift-based schedule, aligned with team needs
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Network Engineering or related fields- English level B2
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, IP addressing, basic routing and switching)
- Interest in network operations, infrastructure, and troubleshooting
- Strong willingness to learn and ability to follow structured processes
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
Basic exposure to monitoring tools or labs (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.)- Knowledge of VLANs, subnets, or routing concepts (OSPF/BGP as a plus, not required)
- Participation in academic or personal projects related to networking
- Entry-level certifications in progress (CCNA, etc.)
