The Role
Building the next generation of logistics and supply chain management.
generating geospatial queries that can be used to assign shipments to dispatch teams.
Integrating with 3rd party api’s for fleet tracking
Creating notifications (in app / push / email) for shipment updates
Generating PDF’s
Extracting text from uploaded PDF’s
Parsing uploaded excel / csv files
Responsibilities
Design, code, test and manage various applications
Collaborate with engineering team and product team to establish best products
Follow outlined standards of quality related to code and systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field
3+ years of experience working with DevOps or relevant experiences
Experience developing web-based applications in DevOps, HTML, JavaScript
Experience working with Mongo DB or similar SQL or noSql solutions
What You’ll Need / Do
Implement solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, high availability, and operation excellence goals
You have experience with Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSS and experience with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue)
You have experience as a DevOps Web Engineer
Follow agile software development methodologies such as CI/CD and you build it, you run it
Understand system interdependencies and limitations in a micro services architecture
Familiarity with containers
Familiarity with serverless
Breakdown problems into simple, elegant solutions.
Grow other Engineers. Act as a mentor and lead junior engineers by example
Work with encryption and authentication protocols (OAuth, SSL)
Experience building systems using AWS or other cloud services
Excellent interpersonal skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
An understanding of how to use metrics to guide technical decisions
Fluency in any one database technology (e.g. RDBMS like Oracle or Postgres and/or NoSQL like DynamoDB, Cassandra or MongoDB)
Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness and performance
