Your mission:
The health and safety coordinator in Alliance Green Services Brazil works to ensure risk prevention throughout the entire lifecycle of a construction site or project. They begin during the design phase by identifying potential risks and defining appropriate preventive measures, and then during the construction phase by ensuring that these measures are effectively implemented on-site. They ensure that safety principles are integrated into technical decisions, construction methods, and work organization, while considering the future operating conditions of the structure. They also verify that contractual documents comply with regulatory requirements, particularly those of the Normas Regulamentadoras. Finally, they develop and update safety plans, monitor preventive measures, and maintain monitoring records, thereby helping to ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and a safe work environment.
Description of activities:
- Development and implementation of occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with Brazilian standards • Identification, assessment, and prioritization of workplace risks, accompanied by proposals for risk mitigation measures
- Development of internal standards and procedures in compliance with labor legislation (CLT) and applicable mandatory regulations
- Verification of safety compliance through audits, inspections, and performance indicators
- Monitoring of regulatory compliance and enforcement of legal requirements regarding occupational health and safety
- Formulating recommendations to improve working conditions and implement corrective measures
- Crisis management and coordination with internal and external stakeholders (authorities, teams, partners)
- Awareness-raising, training, and fostering a safety culture among employees
