Position Summary:
The products are scientific in nature, and this role would suit someone with an interest in science and manufacturing. The Manufacturing Team Leader position reports to the Site Manager. The Team Leader is primarily responsible for maintaining the flow of people, material, and information in their assigned area. They are expected to respond quickly to any interruptions in these flows and restore operations as efficiently as possible while maintaining safety and quality standards. If issues cannot be resolved, the Team Leader must escalate them promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Additionally, the Team Leader plays a key role in developing team capabilities, ensuring appropriate levels of production, quality/inspection, safety and teamwork skills across their team.
Key Responsibilities:

Complete day-to-day production activities and traceability documentation in conformance with specifications, standard operating procedures, and cGMP/ISO principles.

Completion of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR’s), ensuring that all information is timely, accurate, legible and correct to guarantee traceability.

Contribute to the revision, issue and control of manufacturing documentation on site, including batch manufacturing records (BMR’s), standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and forms.

Participates in PPI activities (Kaizens and JDIs) as appropriate and regularly utilizes continuous improvement methodologies in daily work.

Participate in EHS system by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.

Ensure all facility & equipment maintenance is being handled as needed and in a timely manner. Report to management immediately if any equipment is not operating accurately

Manage/assign clean-up and housekeeping duties at the end of shift (i.e. clean processing equipment, floors, walls, and hard coolers).

Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned to contribute to the efficient operation of the team and business.

Re-assign operators as needed during shift to meet production demands

Manage stocking requirement to procurement

Provide input on operator performance and behavior, including PMDs

Work with operators to resolve material flow issues

Quality Control of samples as required
Working Conditions:
-
Works in a controlled, clean room environment, analytical laboratory and warehouse. Is required to lift 20kg. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.

Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and policies
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science related fields, project management, and or engineering

Experience in cGMP Manufacturing and/or Quality preferred.

Science related qualification is desirable.

Good mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Language Proficiency: Fluency in Portuguese and English
