For Universal Renal Care South Africa, we are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Mobile Renal Care Specialist to support renal services across acute, chronic, and remote healthcare settings in our KwaZulu Natal Region.
This is a full-time, Mobile Renal Specialist postion. This role is designed to ensure continuity of high-quality renal care by providing Haemodialysis (HD), Haemodiafiltration (HDF), and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) services where operational needs arise. The services include ICU settings.
The successful candidate will be deployed to different facilities as and when required, functioning strictly within their professional scope of practice and in accordance with South African healthcare legislation, SANC/HPCSA regulations, and organisational clinical governance standards.

Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred renal care in accordance with approved clinical protocols

Perform pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis patient assessments and interventions

Initiate, monitor, and discontinue HD, HDF, and PD treatments safely in chronic and acute settings

Identify and manage dialysis-related complications and escalate appropriately
-
Relocate to and provide support services in remote, under-resourced, or temporarily understaffed clinics

Maintain accurate, legal, and complete clinical documentation

Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams across multiple sites

National Senior Certificate (Matric)
-
Registered Nurse or Clinical Technologist Qualification
-
Current registration as a Professional Nurse OR Clinical Technologist with SANC/HPCSA and proof of valid practicing license.

Previous experience in nephrology or dialysis nursing is highly beneficial; experience in acute renal care is an advantage.

Competence in electronic medical records, basic computer literacy, and accurate clinical documentation.

Demonstrated clinical skills in renal nursing, including dialysis treatment preparation, patient assessment, and ongoing monitoring.

Strong patient care, communication, and counselling abilities to support a diverse, multicultural patient population.

Proven competence in HD and HDF (chronic and acute settings)

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) experience

Experience working across multiple clinical environments or remote settings advantageous

Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and maintain professional, ethical practice aligned with organisational values.
