ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the Compliance function in Brazil, ensuring that all company operations remain fully compliant with local legislation, international standards, and corporate governance best practices. You will act as the primary bridge between Brazilian regulatory requirements and the global standards of the company’s Asian headquarters, actively participating in the development of policies, procedures, and a strong culture of integrity across the operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Compliance Structure: Build and implement compliance policies and procedures from the ground up as part of the company’s Brazilian operation.
- iGaming Regulation: Monitor and interpret SEFEL regulations, applicable gaming and betting legislation, and conduct internal compliance training initiatives.
- Governance & Ethics: Ensure adherence to internal integrity, ethics, and anti-corruption guidelines.
-Risk & Internal Controls: Identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
-Regulatory Interface: Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities and local legal partners.
- Continuous Monitoring: Conduct internal audits, investigations, and monitoring of sensitive activities such as KYC/AML and anti-money laundering controls.
- Reporting & Global Alignment: Report compliance status, risks, and action plans to international leadership teams.
-Education & Culture: Promote compliance awareness initiatives across all company departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields (postgraduate studies in Compliance, Governance, or Corporate Law are considered a plus).
-5+ years of experience in Compliance, preferably within multinational companies, fintechs, technology companies, or regulated industries. Experience in iGaming is a strong advantage.
-Strong knowledge of Brazilian legislation, regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering practices, and internal investigations.
-Advanced or fluent English is mandatory for communication with global stakeholders.
-Ethical, organized, strategic mindset with the ability to navigate dynamic and high-responsibility environments.
-Advanced or fluent English for daily interaction with international providers and global teams.
