We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join Meta IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting a large and complex Oracle environment that is critical to financial operations across the organization.
The Oracle database environment includes systems running on Exadata and VMware, leveraging advanced features such as Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard for high availability, and enterprise-grade performance tuning. You will work alongside a team of onshore and offshore DBAs to ensure stability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical financial systems, including PeopleSoft Financials.
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases across Exadata and VMware environments
- Support PeopleSoft Financials systems ensuring availability and stability
- Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Monitor database performance and proactively resolve issues
- Administer and support Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters)
- Configure and maintain Data Guard environments
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Contribute to architecture improvements and scalability strategies
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies
- Perform deep dive analysis on complex database issues
- Collaborate with development teams to improve performance
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure fast resolution
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems

- Strong experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments (8 - 12 years of experience)
- Hands on experience with RAC and Data Guard
- Strong experience in performance tuning and query optimization

- Experience working in distributed or global teams
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
- Experience with Exadata environments
- Exposure to financial services systems
- Advanced English
