At OSM Thome, safety is one of our core values. We are looking for a Safety Engineer to join our HSEQ team and support the continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across both onshore and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and company standards.
- Identify, assess and mitigate occupational and environmental risks.
- Conduct incident investigations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports and risk assessments.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure effective follow-up of findings.
- Promote HSEQ awareness through training programs and safety initiatives.
- Monitor environmental programs and waste management practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert during emergency situations.
- Maintain strong communication with employees, clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering.
- Active CREA registration.
- Experience in Occupational Safety and Environmental Management.
- Previous experience in maritime, offshore or industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian HSE legislation, risk assessment methodologies and integrated management systems.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
