The FSG Finance Associate supports the payroll department’s day-to-day functions which include end-to-end payroll process, including calculating fixed/variable payments, overtime, and off-cycle payments, ensuring compliance with complex local labor laws (CLT) and tax regulations.
What You Will Do:
- Payroll Data Collection and Validation, such as overtime, night-shift, new hires, terminations and vacations.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, including hiring documentation, salary changes, personal information, and bank details.
- Reconcile payroll data with HR records and finance systems before bank transfers.
- Monitor leave, sick pay, maternity/paternity leave, and vacation accruals, ensuring accurate deductions and salary adjustments.
- Ensure accurate calculation of mandatory deductions, including:Social, security contributions,Withholding income tax, Severance Indemnity Fund (8% employer contribution).
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax documentation.
- Assist with terminations, calculating severance payments, and handling new hire documentation.
- Perform gross-to-net validations and partner with Finance to reconcile payroll funding and journal entries.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing payroll documentation.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in your area of responsibility while minimizing risk and cost.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Advanced degree
- One (1) or more years of experience
- Professional certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of data privacy and security principles
- Solid understanding of Brazilian Labor Law (CLT) and current tax regulations.
- Proficiency with localized Brazilian payroll/HR systems (Cloudpay, Apdata) and MS Excel.
- Capacity to analyze, interpret, and report payroll data, such as new hires, terminations, vacations, leaves.
- Accurately and efficiently input payroll data into spreadsheets or payroll system. Complete high-quality data reconciliations.
- Technically proficient with payrollsystems and strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and data visualization tools and software.
- Experience with eSocial implementation.
- Communicate basic insights from payroll data analysis.
