Hydraulic Engineer
Location: Brazil (Utradecor Operations)
Travel Required: Frequent travel to operational and project sites across North Africa, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of hydraulic systems and equipment across our industrial operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulic components, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to maintaining equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair, maintenance, and adjustment of hydraulic equipment and systems.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, assemble, and test process equipment components and mechanisms.
- Install, dismantle, test, calibrate, and adjust hydraulic equipment, units, and machinery.
- Carry out commissioning and operational testing of equipment following repair and maintenance activities.
- Prepare repair reports, defect records, and maintenance documentation.
- Identify, diagnose, and rectify defects during equipment operation and repair inspections.
- Conduct accuracy testing and performance verification of repaired equipment.
- Ensure hydraulic systems operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshops, repair areas, and workstations.
- Comply with personal hygiene, industrial sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
Requirements
- Degree or technical qualification in Hydraulic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in hydraulics.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar hydraulic maintenance or engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic equipment and components, including:
- Gear pumps
- Axial piston/plunger pumps
- Hydraulic cylinders
- Hydraulic seals and sealing systems
- Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to operational sites in North Africa, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
