About the role
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain web applications for a tax research and workpapers platform. The role spans front-end development in React and back-end services in Node.js, C#, and Python, with data managed across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. This is a short-term contract running through December 31, spanning the full AWS cloud stack.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ReactJS for the front end.
- Build scalable and reliable back-end services using Node.js, C#, and Python.
- Optimize and manage data persistence layers with PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, and EventBridge.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and manage continuous integration and deployment workflows via GitLab CI/CD.
- Write robust automated tests with Jest and Playwright to ensure code quality and application reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across the full development lifecycle.
Must haves
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Front-End: Experience building responsive interfaces with ReactJS.
- Back-End: Experience developing APIs and services using Node.js, C#, and Python.
- Databases: Proficient with PostgreSQL and AWS DynamoDB for both relational and NoSQL data management.
- Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, ALB, and EventBridge.
- Testing: Solid experience with automated testing frameworks, especially Jest and Playwright.
- DevOps: Practical experience with Terraform for IaC and GitLab for CI/CD processes.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Additional proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure automation best practices.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting or service development.
