Senior IT Data Architect - Hybrid
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in Malta, we are seeking a Senior Data Architect to join their Data Management team. You will lead the design and governance of enterprise data architecture, building a scalable, secure, and future-ready data platform aligned with business strategy and group standards.
Key Responsibilities

Define and govern enterprise data architecture and data models

Design cloud-native solutions (AWS, Snowflake, streaming, APIs)

Lead real-time and batch data integration (CDC, streaming)

Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and cost optimisation

Drive data governance, metadata, lineage, and compliance (GDPR, KYCP)

Support MDM, data quality, and GenAI-ready data capabilities
Requirements

Strong experience in enterprise data architecture and cloud platforms (AWS)

Expertise in data modelling, data lakehouse architectures, and Snowflake

Experience with streaming, APIs, and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)

Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and MDM frameworks

Strategic mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
