Shift Leader – Paper Mill Operations
Location: Brazil (Utradecor Project)
International Travel Required: Frequent travel to project sites across North Africa, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan
We are seeking an experienced Shift Leader – Paper Mill Operations to oversee production activities, ensure product quality, and lead operational teams in a dynamic paper manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate paper mill production activities during assigned shifts.
- Monitor all stages of the paper manufacturing process, including:
- Raw material dosing
- Pulp grinding
- Sheet forming
- Drying
- Smoothing and finishing
- Rewinding
- Packaging
- Transfer of finished products to the warehouse
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and production targets.
- Lead, support, and monitor shift employees to ensure assigned tasks are completed effectively and safely.
- Identify operational issues and coordinate with maintenance and technical departments for timely resolution.
- Monitor and enforce proper waste segregation and disposal procedures.
- Oversee the operation and compliance of wastewater treatment facilities.
- Participate in employee evaluations and periodic competency assessments together with the Production Manager.
- Ensure adherence to company safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Higher vocational or technical education in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in paper or cardboard manufacturing operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or shift leadership role is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of paper machine processes and production workflows.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally to project sites in North Africa, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
