The
Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing solutions within a platform that allows for robust configuration options without the need for extensive coding. This role requires a deep understanding of the platform's capabilities and the ability to leverage its configuration tools to meet business requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and configure solutions using the platform's point-and-click configuration tools to meet business process and application requirements.
- Lead the assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions.
- Interface with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into configurable software components.
- Develop prototypes using configuration tools and demonstrate these to stakeholders to validate solution approach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the configuration supports the desired business processes.
- Provide expertise in the platform's configuration capabilities during the solution design and implementation phases.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and can be seamlessly integrated with other systems.
- Conduct solution testing and troubleshooting, resolving configuration issues as they arise.
- Document the configuration details and maintain records of system changes.
- Stay current with the latest updates and features of the platform and evaluate their applicability to organizational needs.
- Lead and mentor a team of configuration specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective solution delivery.
- Facilitate team meetings and ensure clear communication of project goals and progress.
- Coordinate team efforts to align with project timelines and business objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Offer career guidance and support professional development for direct reports, helping them achieve their career goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Analyst, or similar role with a focus on software configuration.
- Hands-on experience with platforms that offer extensive point-and-click configuration capabilities (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Experience in configuring and deploying enterprise software solutions without heavy reliance on custom code.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of the principles of configuration management and its best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to non technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications related to the specific platform(s) of expertise (e.g., Salesforce Certified
- Administrator, ServiceNow System Administrator).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.
