We are seeking a talented and driven part-time (PTE) messaging specialist living in Brazil to join BYU-Pathway Worldwide, coordinating with the U.S.-based institutional communications team. This role is crucial in effectively communicating BYU-Pathway’s mission, strategy, and educational offerings to students, service missionaries, employees, and partners for Portuguese and Spanish offerings.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating, translating, executing, and optimizing messaging campaigns in Portuguese and Spanish; segmenting audience lists; maintaining a messaging calendar; and tracking and analyzing campaign performance metrics. The position is remote, but candidates must live in Brazil to be considered for the role.
Plan and execute messaging campaigns (80%)
- Coordinate with the U.S.-based institutional communications team to write, translate, build, and send messaging campaigns that apply to BYU-Pathway in Portuguese and Spanish.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights to plan and distribute messaging campaigns via email and WhatsApp.
- Segment lists in Anthology Reach and Excel based on audience demographics, behavior, and interests.
- Develop and maintain campaigns triggered by student actions and statuses.
- Craft compelling email content, including subject lines, copy, and calls-to-action, to drive student engagement and academic progress.
Assist in maintaining an editorial calendar to track dates and content for recurring messages.

Monitor, analyze, and report on messaging analytics (10%)
- Track messaging analytics (open/click-through rates) and conduct research to evaluate the effectiveness of messaging campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Test modifications and assess the impact of changes.
Share insights and recommendations with the messaging team and clients.

Translate and review other communications projects/deliverables (10%)
- Coordinate with the U.S.-based institutional communications team to write, translate, and review deliverables that are translated into Portuguese and Spanish, including brochures, articles, presentations, graphics, etc.
- Support other communications and marketing efforts for BYU-Pathway in Portuguese and Spanish.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, digital marketing, or another relevant field.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required.
Skills:
- Full professional fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (required)
- Ability to coordinate with English speakers
- Ability to ensure the voice, tone, and intention of English messages translate well to Portuguese and Spanish
- Strong email marketing experience and the ability to create engaging and effective messaging campaings that resonate with a global student body
