Introduction
We are seeking a Jr Engineer to join our MLE Sorocaba team. You will be responsible for the development of mill lining material for production and their molds, in different kinds of alloy possibilities. Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business.
In this position, you will report to the manager of MLE in West region.
This position is mainly located in Sorocaba.
Team you belong to
You will join a team of engineers dedicated to develop mill lining materials, aiming the customer needing through a proposal and the production needing to save costs. Also support the supply chain and the other stakeholders in several steps of order delivery.
We work closely with internal / external stakeholders, such as Order Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Product Support, Proposal and Quotation, beyond the Market area teams.

The members in our team are located in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru.
What you’ll do
Develop and model mill lining material with their wear inserts and reinforcements, including manufacturing drawings.
Develop and model molds for production, including manufacturing drawings, for synthetic mill lining product.
Prepare and review technical documentation, assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Ensure the correct management and updating of drawings in the systems, maintaining nomenclature and traceability.
Comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards according to Metso regulations and other standards.
Work closer with production teams and other departments to ensure the manufacturing feasibility.
Provide technical support for ongoing projects, meeting established deadlines.
Other duties that are inherent to the position assigned by the department leader.
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineer.
Experience with model and drawings.
Knowledge of metalworking, mainly machining, cutting, forging and bending processes.
Knowledge of structures and connections (welded/bolted).
Knowledge about foundry process is a differentiating factor.
Knowledge of Inventor and AutoCAD or similar tools at an intermediate level.
Knowledge about programming is a differentiating factor.
Office tools. Power BI is a differentiating factor. SAP isn’t mandatory.
Communication skills, easy relationships, teamwork and organization.
Ability to work to a schedule, as well as set, follow and achieve deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
English (intermediate minimum) and Spanish (basic minimum) are differentiating factors.
