About this opportunity:
We are looking for a Junior/Mid-Level Radio Network Design & Optimization Engineer to focus on optimization service delivery for 4G and 5G Radio Access Networks (RAN/RF). You will work on radio design, audit and optimization, using modern, data‑driven and AI‑assisted approaches to improve network performance and prepare our customers’ networks for 5G evolution.
This position is open to talents with early professional experience in mobile networks who want to grow in the RAN design and optimization domain.
What you will do:
-
Deliver RAN/RF design and optimization for 4G/5G (coverage, capacity, interference and quality), for both indoor and outdoor solutions
-
Execute NDO activities: radio design, parameter optimization, feature activation and baseline configuration
-
Perform RAN/RF call flow analysis and troubleshooting, interacting with Core and Transport teams when needed
-
Use OSS/ENM and performance tools, drive and virtual drive test data, traces and logs to monitor and improve KPIs
-
Apply AI assistants and prompt engineering to speed up analysis, reporting and documentation
-
Contribute to presales and solution design (technical inputs, capacity/performance estimates, acceptance criteria)
-
Support continuous improvement of processes and tools, proposing automation and innovation ideas
-
Prepare concise technical documentation and share knowledge within the team and with customers
The skills you bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical or related)
-
Hands‑on experience with 4G/5G RAN/RF design and/or optimization (internships or early‑career roles are welcome)
-
Good understanding of radio fundamentals (coverage, capacity, interference, QoS/QoE, KPIs)
-
Knowledge of Ericsson RAN hardware and software (LTE, NR): configuration, performance and basic call flow analysis
-
Experience with network performance/configuration tools (OSS/ENM or equivalent, drive test analysis tools)
-
Basic understanding of end‑to‑end mobile network architecture and RAN Transport
-
Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
-
English: minimum intermediate level (reading, speaking, writing); Spanish skills are a strong plus for working with regional customers
Future‑Ready Skills (Preferred)
