We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to work on John Deere Research and Development Center in Indaiatuba/SP, the role will support the design, development, and improvement of components and systems for sprayers and planters. This role focuses on engineering solutions across structural, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, contributing to new product development and continuous improvement of existing products.
Beyond technical execution, this position requires strong ownership to support the broader team, engage directly with customers, and translate field insights into robust, scalable solutions.
- Design new components and systems or improve existing items for sprayers and planters;
- Develop and validate solutions involving structures, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies;
- Create and update engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation;
- Support product development from concept through validation and production;
- Perform engineering analysis, design reviews, and failure investigations;
- Provided technical leadership across multiple projects, guiding design decisions, driving execution, and supporting team members, while ensuring high quality deliverables and on time project completion;
- Support field feedback analysis and implement design improvements based on customer and production input;
- Lead validation and testing of engineering solutions, defining test strategies, ensuring robust verification against customer requirements, and driving issue resolution to deliver high quality, reliable products;
- Ensure designs meet performance, durability, safety, and cost targets.
- Proven knowledge and/or experience in design and system development;

Experience in using engineering software and tools (CREO, CAD, FEA, PDM);

Advanced English;
- Experience with agricultural equipment, especially sprayers or planters;

Familiarity with validation, testing, and product lifecycle processes;

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar.
- Experience in coordinating teams and/or projects;

Precision technologies in planting and application (spot spray, variable rate, section control, JDLink, remote monitoring);

Strong communications skills;

Experience supporting field issues;

Experience in testing and validation of engineering solutions.
