Repairs and tests mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Works from drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams and written or oral instructions to understand and perform repair and / or test activity. Ensures work meets established technical, product and quality requirements.
- Provides Repair Technician support and product repair for assigned mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Identifies, isolates and corrects malfunctions on assigned products through the practical application of acquired technologies and skills.
- Disassembles, cleans and reassembles assigned products in conjunction with refurbishment activities.
- Generates and maintains required test reports, logs, documentation and test equipment.
- Reports recurring quality problems to appropriate individuals or groups.
- Enhances working knowledge of the total product line and associated test diagnostics and procedures.
- Uses precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers and bore gauges to measure component parts and assist with repair, refurbishment and related activity.
Required Qualifications
- Education or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Repair Technician.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly.
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
