Amazon is the most customer-centric company on Earth. We need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people who are passionate about doing the right thing.
We are looking for a AMZL Performance Manager to own the end-to-end network performance monitoring, analysis, and improvement function within Amazon's Last Mile Brazil organization. This role sits within the Ops Excellence team, part of the Partner Strategy & Experience (PSX) organization, covering the EDSP (External Delivery Service Provider), AMPL (Amazon Partner Logistics), and AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) programs.
As an Individual Contributor, you will be the single-threaded owner of AMZL performance in a overall visibility — building and maintaining dashboards, conducting root cause analyses, tracking corrective actions, and providing data-driven recommendations that move operational metrics in the right direction. You will work closely with Operations, regional leadership, and cross-functional partners to ensure performance gaps are identified early, diagnosed accurately, and resolved systematically.
This role reports directly to the Ops Excellence Manager and works cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Planning, and partner-facing teams to ensure network performance decisions are data-driven, scalable, and aligned with Last Mile Brazil's growth objectives.
This position is based out of an AMZL office and may require periodic travel to delivery stations across Brazil.
If you are passionate about operational analytics, performance management, and driving measurable improvement across a complex logistics network, come join our team.
Key job responsibilities
Own the end-to-end AMZL network performance view across EDSP, AMPL, and AMXL programs, providing a consolidated AMZL perspective on operational performance, defects, and trends
Drive AMZL overall performance monitoring and improvement across key performance metrics: DEA, Last Mile BPS, Concessions, TPH, DPPH, OTD, FPY, Scorecard, and SIR
Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide real-time visibility into network performance, partner performance, and operational KPIs
Conduct root cause analyses for performance deviations, identifying top offenders and structural defects across the partner network
Develop and track corrective action plans in partnership with Operations and regional leadership, ensuring accountability and follow-through on short and mid-term improvements
Establish and maintain KPI governance mechanisms — defining thresholds, escalation triggers, and performance review cadences (daily/weekly/monthly)
Produce the weekly and monthly AMZL Network Performance Reports, including trend analysis, deep-dives on underperformers, and corrective action status across all partner programs
Support partner performance guidance by translating Amazon's operational standards into actionable insights and recommendations for logistics partners
Identify patterns and systemic issues across the network, escalating structural problems to the Ops Excellence Manager with data-backed recommendations
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Planning, and Procurement to align health diagnostics with broader business objectives
Conduct periodic benchmarking analyses across nodes, clusters, and regions to identify performance gaps and best-practice sharing opportunities
Present network performance insights and improvement recommendations in governance forums (DDD/WBR/MBR), framing findings with business impact and clear calls-to-action
A day in the life
Your day starts early — reviewing the automated daily health pulse across all EDSP, AMPL, and AMXL nodes. You spot a DEA drop at three stations in the Southeast cluster and immediately pull the granular data: it's a scan compliance issue tied to a recent route restructuring.
By mid-morning, you've completed the root cause analysis and logged it in the corrective action tracker with a clear owner and 72-hour follow-up. You send a concise escalation summary to the regional Ops lead with recommended actions.
Before lunch, you finalize the weekly Network Performance Report. This week's highlights: OTD improved 2pp network-wide after last month's UTR process change, but Concessions spiked in the North region. You prepare the talking points for the WBR — crisp, data-backed, with clear "ask" for leadership.
After lunch, you deep-dive into a recurring pattern you've been tracking: three nodes with consistently high Ageing 3+ despite corrective actions. You build a hypothesis — shift handoff gaps during multi-cycle operations — and flag it to the Process Improvement leads for structural investigation.
Late afternoon, you update your performance governance dashboard, adding a new automated alert for FPY drops below threshold. You also prep a partner support brief for an AMPL partner whose Scorecard has been trending red for two consecutive weeks.
You close the day in a 1:1 with your manager (Ops Excellence Manager), reviewing your weekly priorities, sharing the systemic patterns you've identified, and aligning on next week's deep-dive focus areas.
