Operations are the beating heart of Amazon. This key part of our business makes sure we fulfill and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers get their items on time. The Brazil First Mile Operations External Fulfillment (EF Ops) team is responsible for the logistics of our sellers and operation of vendors. We seek an External fulfillment Operations Manager who bring the team together to push excellence in safety, quality and productivity across our vendors operations. Your focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your scope, while influencing and driving strong CX performance across our Vendors and 3P partners on the supply chain programs such as Vendor Flex and Direct Fulfillment. You’ll lead other managers and create the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets. This role is all about driving operational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow.
Key job responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and well-being across your scope and beyond
- Be a multi-site expert and implement corrective actions to make sure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels, to share Amazon standards for our customer operations within non-Amazon owned or leased buildings
- Engage in the field and handle administrative work alongside building and supporting a strong Amazon culture of performance and KPIs with our external partners
- Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service
- Engage, Influence and improve Amazon and vendors KPIs on The Supply Chain programs
- Manage and develop a team of Site Leaders
- Work closely with other support teams, including Business Team, Transportation, Supply Chain, Tech and RH.
A day in the life
You’ll lead a team of site leaders with multiple operations across Brazil. That means you’ll support your team on daily operation challenges while driving operational improvements to meet business and operational goals. You’ll also be the key link between business, transportation, tech and supply chain. A typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites, proposing solutions and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team. You’ll be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best manager they can be.
