As part of the strategic transformation of our Aramids business, we are investing in the future and expanding our technical capabilities in Brazil. We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team and support the Nomex® product line, focusing on technical sales support across the country.
This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a background in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and will be passionate about delivering value through innovation and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical contact for Nomex® applications in Brazil supporting customers, sales teams, and channel partners.
- Provide expert technical support, including product recommendations, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
- Lead customer trials, product demonstrations, and technical workshops/webinars.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to align technical strategies and share best practices.
- Manage technical projects, including testing, documentation, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory) and external partners (OEMs, converters, end-users).
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textile Engineering it’s a plus, or related discipline like Chemical Engineering , mechanical engineering.
- Experience in technical support, application development, or product engineering—preferably in industrial textiles or protective materials.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
