About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Purchase Manager to lead the procurement of chemical raw materials required for production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, supplier management, procurement planning, and ensuring uninterrupted supply of key chemical products while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of chemical raw materials such as urea, methanol, melamine, and other production-related chemicals.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure continuous production requirements are met.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets and logistics cost planning.
- Build, develop, and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, technical specifications, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers and expand the supplier portfolio.
- Collect, compare, and analyze supplier quotations to obtain the best commercial and technical solutions.
- Coordinate logistics, warehouse receipt processes, and incoming material inspections.
- Ensure procurement activities align with company business plans and operational requirements.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead and manage procurement team members, including goal setting, task allocation, performance evaluation, and training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and applicable regulations.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the chemical industry.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of international trade and foreign economic activities.
- Experience working with customs authorities will be an advantage.
- Understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and logistics.
- Knowledge of labor legislation, industrial safety, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Language Requirement
✅ English is Mandatory – Advanced/Fluent Level (C1/C2)
Computer Skills
- MS Office
- ERP/Procurement systems (K-Soft experience is an advantage)
