Mission of the Role
Are you passionate about market development, strategic sales, and business growth in the industrial sector? ABB is looking for a Market & Sales Development Manager to join the Motion High Power team in Brazil.
If you have experience in market strategy, commercial development, and working with industrial segments such as Cement and Mining, and are ready to drive business growth in a dynamic environment, this opportunity may be for you.
Responsibilities
Define, develop, and execute market development strategies and business plans for prioritized segments, applications, and channels.
Drive growth and market positioning in the Cement and Mining segments in Brazil.
Develop and implement commercial and market strategies covering CAPEX, OPEX, service, and digital offerings.
Build and manage relationships with key customers, EPCs, OEMs, engineering companies, and other strategic stakeholders.
Support early engagement in large and complex projects, strengthening the pipeline and commercial opportunities.
Partner with the Sales teams to improve pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, commercial effectiveness, and proposal support.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor movements, generating insights to support strategic decision-making.
Drive performance with a focus on orders, revenue, margins, and market share growth.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Service, and other internal stakeholders to ensure aligned execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Solid experience in market development, sales, or business development.
Experience in industrial sectors, preferably Cement, Mining, or Heavy Industry.
Proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies.
Strong commercial acumen, good stakeholder management, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
Fluent English.
Valid Category B driver’s license and availability for frequent travel.
Nice to Have / Differentiators
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Experience managing relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and strategic industrial accounts.
Knowledge of the drives and electric motors portfolio is highly desirable.
Experience engaging with industry associations and market influencers.
Advanced Spanish.
