We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Senior QA Analyst to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive manual test plans and executing thorough testing strategies that power our core platform. You will focus on evaluating robust, web-based applications and ensuring a seamless system experience across diverse user environments.
This is a contract position, 100% remote. The successful candidate must be highly autonomous and comfortable working directly and collaboratively with the WinRed team to drive software quality and product reliability.

Core Responsibilities
- Manual Testing & Strategy: Design, author, and maintain detailed, comprehensive manual test plans and test suites tailored for modern web-based applications.
- Cross-Platform Verification: Perform specialized web and mobile-browser testing using BrowserStack to guarantee high-fidelity performance across desktop, iPhone, and Android platforms.
- Direct Team Collaboration: Operate with high autonomy, working directly with the WinRed team and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clean test scenarios.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects with highly detailed, reproducible steps, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Quality Advocacy: Focus heavily on thorough manual exploratory testing and edge-case validation to ensure stable product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing roles.
- Manual Testing Mastery: Deep expertise in formal test plan formulation, regression testing, and black-box web applications.
- Platform Focus: Proven track record testing complex web-based products. No special or proprietary physical devices are required.
- Toolchain Proficiency: Hands-on experience with the company's core operational toolset:
- Collaboration & Productivity: Slack, Google Docs, Tettra, Notion, Google Meet, Claude
- Development & Testing: GitHub, BrowserStack, Shortcut
- Testing Mindset: A strong commitment to manual exploratory testing as a first priority. While familiarity with test automation is a plus, candidates must not enter with a mindset or expectation to automate everything out of the gate.
Compensation & Logistics
- Salary Range: $3,000 – $4,000 CAD per month (Hourly contract, 35–40 hours per week).
- Focus: 100% Manual QA-centric role.
- Location: 100% Remote.
- Timezone: Must have at least 4 hours of overlap with the Eastern Time (ET) zone (7–8 hours of overlap is highly preferred).
- Start Date: Immediately (ASAP).
