Job Requirements
This role supports the objectives of the LANXESS Information Technology Department by delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective SAP solutions for inventory and warehouse management in a globally integrated SAP S/4HANA landscape.
As an experienced SAP IM, SRM and EWM Consultant, the position is responsible for the design, implementation and optimization of logistics and warehouse solutions, including end‑to‑end system integration and global support.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of SAP projects in Inventory Management and Warehouse Management, including internal warehouses and external logistics providers (3PL)
- Design, customization and continuous improvement of SAP solutions with a clear focus on IM, WM and EWM
- The role will primarily involve providing support to the US. This requires fluency in English and a willingness to travel to meet colleagues in the US, as well as the ability to provide on-site support at a US/Canada locations
- Responsibility for solution architecture, system integration and coordination of developments within the SAP ecosystem
- Global support, incident management and documentation for SAP warehouse‑related processes
- Acting as global key contact for SAP SCM topics related to inventory and warehouse management
- Collaboration in product roadmap and strategy definition as well as development of new logistics concepts together with business departments
- Partial project and sub‑project leadership, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in line with quality standards
Work Experience
Integrated Process & Cross‑Module Context
Due to the strong end‑to‑end integration of warehouse and inventory processes with manufacturing and planning, the role requires solid functional integration knowledge in related SAP modules, while the main focus remains on IM, SRM and EWM:
- SAP PP‑PI: Integration of warehouse and inventory processes with production supply and process orders
- SAP QM: Integration of quality inspection processes and stock types with inventory and warehouse operations
- SAP PP / PP‑DS: Awareness of planning and scheduling impacts on material availability and warehouse execution
The role requires an end‑to‑end process mindset, close collaboration with manufacturing, planning and quality teams, and the ability to ensure stable and audit‑compliant SAP solutions across module boundaries.
