As an Engineering Manager for Generosity, you will lead engineering teams responsible for one of the most strategic domains within our Gaming & Betting ecosystem, powering promotions, bonuses, free bets, free spins, cashback, loyalty programs, and customer engagement experiences.
You will be responsible for supporting and developing engineers and Tech Leads while ensuring reliable delivery, operational excellence, and strong alignment across Product, CRM, Commercial, Compliance, and Engineering teams.
This role combines people leadership, technical guidance, operational excellence, and stakeholder management. We're looking for someone with a strong backend engineering background who can provide technical direction when needed, while primarily focusing on team development, execution, and organizational impact.
- Lead, coach, and develop software engineers and Tech Leads across multiple squads.
- Conduct meaningful 1:1s, performance conversations, and career development planning.
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to align priorities, roadmaps, and outcomes.
- Represent engineering teams in strategic and operational discussions.
- Support architectural decisions and technical direction alongside Tech Leads.
- Ensure engineering excellence through scalable design, software quality, observability, and operational best practices.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.
- Oversee the delivery and reliability of critical systems related to promotions, bonuses, cashback, loyalty, and customer engagement.
- Act as an escalation point during incidents, coordinating response efforts and stakeholder communication when necessary.
- Promote platform evolution through automation, standardization, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Compliance and business teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar engineering leadership role.
- Strong backend engineering background and understanding of modern software architecture.
- Proven experience managing and developing software engineers.
- Experience leading teams composed of senior engineers and Tech Leads.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Intermediate to advanced English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.
- Solid experience working with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Good understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with observability practices, including metrics, logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Experience operating systems with complex business rules, multiple integrations, and high business impact.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and modern development principles.
- Successfully led engineering teams composed of mid-level and senior engineers.
- Supported career growth, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
- Managed cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders.
- Influenced technical direction without being deeply involved in day-to-day coding activities.

- Previous experience in iGaming, fintech, payments, or other regulated industries.
- Experience working with promotion engines, loyalty platforms, rewards systems, or customer engagement products.
- Experience leading engineering teams in high-scale, high-complexity environments.
