About Us
Teem builds hybrid healthcare teams, placing reliable remote workers into optometry and veterinary practices across the United States. We help practices reduce costs, increase efficiency, and deliver better patient care, not by replacing their in-office staff, but by giving them the capacity to focus on what matters most.
A Creative Note
We believe great design can make a busy healthcare practice owner pause, understand an idea in seconds, and feel something about a brand they have never met before.
That is the kind of designer we are looking for. Someone with excellent visual taste, strong creative instincts, and the ability to turn complex topics into work that feels clear, beautiful, and memorable. Your work will need to communicate quickly, look polished, and help take the Teem brand to its next stage across digital, print, and event materials.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Graphic Designer who leads with creative thinking, not just technical execution. You will join an existing designer on our team and take ownership of the work that requires original visual ideas, strong conceptual direction, and the ability to translate complex healthcare topics into design that actually stops people and makes them want to read more.
This is a high-volume, multi-format role. In a given month you will work across long-form content design, social assets, email templates, ad creatives, and web pages. You need to be both creative and organized, someone who produces original work without sacrificing deadlines.
As we go through a brand repositioning, you will also contribute to shaping how Teem looks and feels visually going forward. This is not a role where you maintain what already exists. It is a role where you help build what comes next.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptual and Brand Design
- Design long-form content pieces including guides, ebooks, one-pagers, self-assessments, brochures, and other collateral for multiple healthcare verticals, finding original visual approaches to represent complex ideas, not just formatting copy onto a template.
- Contribute to Teem’s visual identity evolution as the brand repositions, bringing fresh perspectives on how we look and how that look communicates our value to healthcare practice owners.
- Develop visual concepts from a brief or copy direction, asking the right questions before starting rather than iterating from a blank canvas after the fact.
- Create work that feels beautiful, intentional, and easy to understand quickly, using strong layout, hierarchy, typography, and imagery to communicate the main idea at a glance.
- Maintain brand consistency across all formats while pushing the quality and creativity of the work forward over time.
-
Print, Event, and Collateral Design
- Design print-ready marketing materials including brochures, flyers, handouts, one-pagers, event booth graphics, signage, and other event equipment.
- Use InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite to create polished, organized, production-ready files that are optimized for print, with careful attention to layout, margins, bleed, resolution, typography, and file preparation.
- Translate Teem’s brand into physical materials that feel just as sharp and elevated as our digital presence.
- Design event-related assets that help Teem stand out in conferences, booths, and in-person marketing environments.
Social and Digital Assets
- Design social media carousels for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok across both talent acquisition and lead generation campaigns.
- Create ad creatives for partner publications and Meta Ads campaigns, working closely with the Growth Marketer to produce healthcare-specific visuals that perform, not just look good.
- Design culture and employer brand posts for our talent acquisition social channels, with a consistent visual style that reflects who we are as a team.
- Produce social assets at speed without sacrificing quality, using templates where appropriate and building new ones when the work calls for it.
Email and Web Design
- Design HTML eblasts and email templates for lead generation and client communication campaigns in close coordination with our Marketing Specialists.
- Design website pages and landing pages that are clear, on-brand, and built to convert, with the ability to execute builds in WordPress and WP Bakery when needed.
- Collaborate with the Growth Marketer on landing page design, treating the post-click experience as part of the campaign rather than a separate deliverable.
Collaboration and Process
- Work from copy direction and image briefs provided by our Marketing Specialists and Marketing Manager, and proactively ask for what you need before starting rather than after the first draft.
- Consult and consider feedback from the Creative Director throughout the design process, using their input to strengthen concepts, refine execution, and ensure the work aligns with the broader creative direction of the brand.
- Coordinate with our existing designer on workload distribution, maintaining visual consistency across both designers’ output.
- Manage your own deadlines across multiple concurrent projects and communicate clearly when timelines are at risk.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio that shows conceptual range, not just technical execution.
- Strong multi-format experience across social assets, long-form content design, print collateral, email design, digital advertising, and brand materials.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as Figma.
- Strong understanding of print design and production basics, including file setup, bleed, margins, resolution, export settings, and preparing materials for vendors or printers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop original visual concepts from a brief, not just adapt existing templates.
- Excellent visual taste, with a portfolio that shows polished, beautiful, and strategically clear design work.
- Strong eye for typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and the ability to make complex information feel simple, attractive, and easy to understand quickly.
- Comfortable working at volume across multiple projects simultaneously without losing quality or missing deadlines.
- Self-directed and organized, you manage your own workload and flag problems early rather than at the deadline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, B2B, or professional services design, where the audience is sophisticated and the content is dense.
- Ability to build pages in WordPress and WP Bakery or a comparable page builder.
- Experience contributing to or evolving a brand identity, not just executing within one.
- Familiarity with email design tools.
- Experience working in a fast-moving startup or small team where priorities shift and you adapt without friction.
What Success Looks Like
- You think before you open Illustrator. You read the brief, ask what you need, and show up with a concept, not just a first draft that needs three rounds of feedback.
- You can make a dense idea feel simple. Healthcare content is complex, and the audience is busy. You know how to use design to make something easier to read and harder to ignore.
- You make things look genuinely good. Your work has taste, polish, and intention. It feels elevated without becoming confusing, and it helps people understand the message quickly.
- You can design for both screens and physical spaces. Whether it is a carousel, landing page, brochure, flyer, or event booth graphic, you understand how the format changes the way people experience the idea.
- You have range. Your portfolio includes things that look nothing like each other, because you adapt to the brief rather than defaulting to one visual style.
- You care about the work after it leaves your hands. You want to know if the carousel got engagement, if the landing page converted, if the eblast performed. That curiosity makes you better over time.
- You are motivated by the mission. The practices we serve are run by people who are good at medicine and overwhelmed by everything else. Design that communicates our value clearly and credibly has a direct impact on whether they get help.
