As a Senior Application Scientist, you will play a crucial role in bridging scientific knowledge with practical application. In this full-time position, you’ll be at the forefront of driving the development of our tools, through understanding and addressing our members’ needs. By fostering strong relationships with our members and internal teams, you’ll support Lhasa in developing cutting-edge software solutions, which solve real-world chemical safety assessment problems, whilst generating new leads across core industry sectors. In this role you are accountable for increasing revenue through the sponsorship of our in-silico solutions across our core industry sectors.

Include but are not limited to:
- Engage with members to ensure retention by understanding regional scientific and regulatory challenges.
- Develops market research and business intelligence strategies for relevant sectors to increase revenue through the sponsorship of our in-silico solutions.
- Promote Lhasa’s solutions to drive adoption and revenue growth by upselling solutions to current members.
- Identify and develop business relationships with prospects from various industries.
- Respond to enquiries and deliver tailored demonstrations of Lhasa’s software solutions.
- Translate complex scientific developments into practical applications for members and prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, prospects, and regulators.
- Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing scientific support to members.
- Represent and support Lhasa at scientific events, conferences, webinars, and exhibitions.
- Contribute to external communications, including LinkedIn posts, videos, and other promotional content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align regional activities with global strategy.
- Strong scientific background in chemistry, toxicology, degradation, or metabolism, or an undergraduate degree, masters, or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
- Proof of at least 3 years of experience in relevant industry (e.g. cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, agrochemicals)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Understanding of chemical structures and the application of in silico predictions
- Knowledge of toxicology, metabolism, degradation, and organic reaction mechanisms
- Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in a scientific or technical environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, Spanish is desirable
