The Senior Applications Engineer is responsible for identifying and/or researching customer needs within the assigned area to determine which products or services best meet their needs and expectations, promoting business development aligned with corporate objectives and ensuring the positioning of products and services within the market segments in which the company operates.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Act as the technical-commercial reference and be responsible for customers and contracts within the assigned geographical area

Develop the business area by identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential customers, conducting technical-commercial visits.

Define annual improvement objectives agreed upon with customers.

Present services to potential customers in a professional manner.

Provide agile technical-commercial solutions through autonomous management and problem-solving capabilities, leveraging Fluence’s resources.

Maintain coordination with customer service areas for cases requiring support (Technical Service, Sales, Engineering, etc.).

Promote the development of a customer and prospect database for direct marketing activities. Support and contribute to the development of commercial materials for the area.

Analyze the customer base, operational frequency, values, and all relevant information to design sales strategies. Manage and organize customer portfolio information to analyze results and report to the Supervisor.

Record all consolidated commercial operations in the current administrative management system, complying with the company’s internal procedures.

Support the Finance area in improving the management of customer accounts under their responsibility, managing the collection process for sold products and services.

Efficiently and effectively manage potential customer complaints related to deliveries, billing, returns, etc.

Comply with communicated Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and promote them among colleagues.

Knowledge of waste segregation and the environmental aspects and impacts matrix applicable to office and cafeteria areas, safety and hygiene regulations, prevention measures, policies, procedures, and records applicable to the area, integrated quality and environmental policies, among others.

Job Requirements

Academic background: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

Languages: English, Spanish (preferred).

Proficiency with IT tools and knowledge of management systems.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience, with 2 to 5 years in technical-commercial positions within the water treatment industry.

Availability to travel: Yes.

Must be able to commute to our Jundiaí office under a hybrid work model (1 or 2 days per week).
