The Industry Specialist serves as a senior subject matter expert (SME) in Pharma & MedTech manufacturing, bringing deep experience in digitalization, automation, and operational transformation to Radix client engagements.
This role provides strategic advisory and industry authority across digital manufacturing programs, ensuring solutions align with regulated environments, quality systems, and real-world plant operations. The Industry Specialist plays a critical role in shaping digital strategies, validating transformation approaches, and influencing client stakeholders.
The position operates within the Business Unit, partnering closely with Sales, Delivery, and Practices to advise clients, shape solution approaches, and support execution of digital programs.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Apply deep industry expertise to guide and advise client programs, ensuring solution approaches reflect operational realities and constraints.
- Support BU industry strategy and go-to-market effectiveness by contributing industry insights, use cases, and proof points, and by validating industry accuracy of marketing and sales materials when requested.
- Support discovery and requirements definition by translating business processes into structured inputs (use cases, workflows, KPIs, pain points, constraints).
- Validate feasibility of proposed designs and operating models from an industry/process perspective, identifying gaps or unrealistic assumptions early.
- Contribute to value articulation by connecting solution concepts to measurable operational and business outcomes.
- Partner with Program/Project Managers to ensure scope, assumptions, dependencies, and risks reflect industry realities.
- Collaborate with Practice Solution Engineers to ensure technical designs align with operational context and process requirements.
- Support Sales and Technical Sales in strategic pursuits by providing industry expertise, shaping solution approaches, and contributing to client workshops and discussions.Maintain and contribute to reusable industry assets such as process maps, KPI libraries, use case catalogs, and industry reference models.
- Document lessons learned from programs and feed insights back to the BU to improve repeatability and future delivery effectiveness.
- Ensure alignment with GxP, FDA, and ISO 13485 requirements, advise on computer system validation (CSV/CSA) and provide provide expertise in QMS. and regulated manufacturing environments
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in Pharma or MedTech manufacturing, including leadership roles in digital transformation, automation, engineering, or operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of industry processes, constraints, KPIs, and operational decision-making.
- Ability to translate operational knowledge into structured deliverables (process maps, requirements, use cases, KPI definitions).
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with comfort working with both delivery teams and client stakeholders.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience accepted.
- Experience supporting transformation initiatives (digital, operational excellence, reliability/resilience, automation, etc.).
- Familiarity working alongside technical delivery teams (OT/IT, data, analytics, engineering, or digital programs).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Spanish or Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
