KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategy and daily operations of the Sportsbook vertical, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Manage sportsbook operations, including betting markets, odds monitoring, campaigns, and event visibility.
- Coordinate the sportsbook calendar according to major sports events, tournaments, and local market opportunities.
- Work closely with providers to ensure competitive betting experiences, proper market availability, and operational stability.
- Plan and execute sportsbook promotional campaigns such as free bets, odds boosts, cashback offers, accumulator campaigns, and special event activations.
- Monitor daily sportsbook performance, tracking KPIs such as turnover, GGR, NGR, active bettors, conversion, retention, and promotional engagement.
- Collaborate with CRM and Marketing teams to ensure aligned communication strategies and optimized user engagement campaigns.
- Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure proper exposure management, betting limits, anti-fraud measures, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the main operational contact for sportsbook providers regarding incidents, configuration adjustments, integrations, and improvements.
- Ensure sportsbook banners, content, betting rules, and communications are accurate, updated, and aligned with the business strategy.
- Analyze user behavior, betting trends, and market performance to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Report sportsbook results, operational risks, opportunities, and action plans regularly to leadership teams.
MUST HAVE
- Proven experience managing sportsbook operations within the iGaming or betting industry.
- Strong understanding of sportsbook products, betting markets, player behavior, and promotional mechanics.
- Business-oriented mindset with knowledge of sportsbook KPIs, margins, profitability, and operational performance.
- Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on in daily operations.
- Experience collaborating with Marketing, CRM, Risk, Product, and Compliance teams.
- Analytical profile with the ability to interpret operational and betting performance data.
- Strong organizational skills to manage sports calendars, promotions, and multiple operational demands simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with providers and internal stakeholders.
- Advanced or fluent English for daily interaction with international providers and global teams.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Previous experience in the Brazilian sportsbook or regulated betting market.
- Experience launching or scaling sportsbook operations in regulated environments.
- Knowledge of sportsbook back-office tools, betting platforms, and operational dashboards.
- Experience creating retention, VIP, and cross-sell strategies involving Casino and Bingo products.
- Familiarity with Brazilian sports culture, betting trends, and key sporting events.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong compliance requirements.
